I'm trying to put together a desktop for gaming. I know next to nothing about putting together PCs so please don't rip my head off for any obvious problems I might create with this setup. I'm trying to keep my price close to $1,000. After looking around the internet, here's what I got.
CASE, POWER, AND COOLING - Antec Nine Hundred 650 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 650W Power Supply - Retail New arrival, special version at Newegg

(I know the Hard Drive has to sync with the motherboard, but I'm not sure how to find out if they do. The search function at newegg doesn't seem to recognize the motherboard model I'm looking at)
SOUND CARD - Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio 70SB104000000 7.1 Channels PCI Express Interface Sound Card - Retail

Please let me know if any parts will clash, any parts that will outright suck, any parts that are better than the ones I've listed, or any other constructive criticism you might have. If there are better parts out there on the market, please let me know which ones are the best for my budget. Thanks.
